Steve Crown - the mind behind Ancient Mind
I created Ancient Mind during 1996 when I was asked to compose some tracks for a school play of The Little Prince (hey... don’t miss the details about that later on in the Music & Discography section).
Being born 1977 and growing up in the 80s, I soon developed an enormous interest in the fascinating electronic sounds of pioneers like Jean-Michel Jarre, Tangerine Dream or Kitaro. It’s no wonder then, that all these fantastic artists have left their traces in my musical taste and works back the... and they still do today!
When I compose music, I always strive for strong melodies - as I think, a good melody can be played with spacey electronic sounds or just an acoustic guitar or a piano, it will always touch people and bring up emotions. And this is what it’s all about - this is what Ancient Mind is about!
